Introduction to the Iran–Africa Economic Cooperation Summit​​​​​​​

The Iran–Africa International Summit, abbreviated as “IranAfric”, is a prominent event held with the aim of strengthening and expanding economic, trade, and investment relations between Iran and African countries. This summit provides an ideal platform for exchanging experiences, establishing strategic collaborations, and identifying joint opportunities across various economic sectors.

History and Achievements​​​​​​​

The first Iran–Africa Summit was held in 1401 (2022–2023) and received widespread attention from high-ranking officials, ministers, senior executives, and economic and scientific stakeholders from Iran and African countries. This event paved the way for effective cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and technology across diverse sectors.

The second Iran–Africa International Summit was held in Ordibehesht 1403 (May 2024) at the International Summit Conference Center. In this session as well, the strong presence of officials and economic stakeholders from over 30 African countries highlighted the significance and special status of this event in strengthening bilateral relations.​​​​​​​

Development of Economic and Trade Relations :​​​​​​​

Creating suitable platforms to enhance trade exchanges and joint investments between Iran and African countries.

Introducing Investment Opportunities:

Identifying and showcasing investment capacities and opportunities across various sectors, including oil, gas, petrochemicals, mining, mineral and metal industries, agriculture, food industries, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and medical equipment.

Exchange of Knowledge and Technology:

Providing suitable platforms for the transfer of technical knowledge and modern technologies between Iran and African countries.

Strengthening Scientific and Educational Cooperation:

Organizing joint workshops, seminars, and training programs to enhance the scientific knowledge and skills of human resources in both regions.​​​​​​​

Future Outlook​​​​​​​

Given the positive outcomes and valuable achievements of previous sessions, the Iran–Africa Summit aims to continue developing and deepening relations between Iran and African countries through careful planning and identification of existing needs and capacities. In this regard, organizing training programs, establishing specialized working groups, and expanding communication and information platforms are among the planned initiatives.​​​​​​​
