This event opened with the presence of the President of Iran (the late Ayatollah Raisi), economic ministers from more than 30 African countries, senior government officials, and business leaders. In his opening address, the President emphasized that “this meeting symbolizes the will of the Islamic Republic of Iran and African countries to expand economic relations,” stating, “We want Africa for Africa, unlike the West, which has often sought to exploit the continent’s resources.”

During the second Iran–Africa Summit, high-ranking officials from Iran and various African nations delivered speeches emphasizing the importance of strategic cooperation. The main themes included developing trade relations, facilitating joint investment, cooperation in technology and energy, and expanding cultural and scientific exchanges. These speeches not only outlined the future vision for Iran–Africa relations but also served as a basis for practical negotiations and understandings throughout the summit.
